So they've apparently found a fourth severed foot off the coast of British Columbia; the fourth within a year. These are all right feet according to the story on MSNBC.com.(5/25/08). No one seems terribly concerned, though. The most popular school of thought is that they are from bodies not recovered from a plane crash that happened about three years ago. What???
All of the found feet are still shod in running shoes. A professor who specializes in the study of floating objects says that left and right float and ride the currents differently, so the left feet could be, or have been found on another beach altogether. What???
An official is quoted as saying that "none of the feet appear to have been forcibly removed.". WHAT???
Ok, how do you get to be floating objects specialist with a job at a university, and be considered such an expert that you are quoted in the press? Alright, I suppose an advanced degree in physics could put you there. But really...
Please explain to me how a still shod severed foot shows up anywhere without being forcibly removed. I'm waiting...
Is this story real? Is it April Fools Day and I don't know? Or maybe it's Canadian Fools Day and the joke's on me? I choose to beleive that there is a new serial killer out there who has no use for right feet. Now, if I could just think of a clever serial killer name...
